Special thanks to the Art Committee and Ali Ringenburg founder of the Sloane Merrill Gallery located on Charles Street in BeaconHill. It was also wonderful to meet Paige Roehrig, the newly appointed Executive Director! Most recently, thanks to Mitch Albala for awarding “Through Strands of Silk” first place in the Dakota Pastels 4th Quarter Competition. Many thanks to Dr. Louis Zona, executive director of the Butler Institute of American Art, for selecting “The Offering” as one of the 25 pieces from the PSA’s 52nd Annual Exhibit Enduring Brilliance, to be exhibited at the Flora B. Giffuni Gallery of American Pastels, January 12, 2025 through March 9, 2025. I am also grateful to Peggi Kroll Robert’s for including “Veiled” in the American impressionist Society’s, 9th Annual Impressions Small Works Showcase. I washed off a failed painting on LaCarte pastel paper which meant that I was left with a glossy sheet of paper.
